Registering for the Church Electoral Roll
If you wish to join the Parish of Shottermill Electoral Roll which entitles you to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM), please complete an application form and return it to the Parish Office before 10 April. The Roll will then be closed for further updates until after the APCM (22 May). Paper application forms are available on request or an electronic fillable form from the website here. If you have attended church for more than six months and you are baptised, then you are encouraged to have your name added as this helps with general communication and for us to get to know you better. If you are already on the roll, no action needs to be taken.
We are aware that GDPR has raised some concerns regarding the renewal of the Electoral Roll. As the law currently stands, there is no need to amend the electoral roll forms, consent is not required.
The Church of England’s GDPR Team have produced Electoral Roll Privacy Notice which explains the GDPR issues for those individuals applying to the electoral roll.
Note: If you wish to be nominated as a member of the PCC or vote for a person to be a member of the PCC, you must be registered on the Church Electoral Roll
