Music at St. Stephen’s always tries to include a variety of styles, and to encourage people from all backgrounds to take part.
The 9am Sunday service is typically a more traditional style, with hymns and organ or piano accompaniment. The 10.45am Sunday service is covered by two worship teams using mainly modern worship songs backed by guitars, drums, keyboard and violin.
We also try to include music from around the world and from different spiritual centres, such as Iona and Taize.
We also enjoy other musical events through the year, which involve people who are not in the regular group: such as a Carol Service with augmented choir in December.
We also run a Musicians’ home group, providing pastoral support, teaching and encouragement for our band members.
New musicians are always welcome, so if you would like to know more, please contact Andy Rigby for more information at
