The Marriage Course - 'Celebrate Marriage'  The Marriage Course was devised by
Nicky and Sila Lee at Holy Trinity, Brompton, to enable married couples
to build a strong and healthy marriage that will last a lifetime. It is
a practical course spread over 7 evening meetings. The evening sessions
are designed to give maximum enjoyment, coupled with an
‘unpacking’ of the major factors involved in building a
healthy marriage, and an opportunity for people to discuss these
matters privately.Pattern In this area, the course is offered in private homes that can cater for 2-5 couples.The program starts at 7:30 p.m. with a substantial main course at candlelit dinners for two. The aim is to make every session a romantic and helpful 'evening out' for each couple. After the meal there is a video presentation by Nicky and Sila Lee on the evening's topic. The video is paused to provide couples with time for discussion, which is always private. There is never any requirement for group discussion or disclosure of what has been shared - confidentiality is absolute! Coffee and cookies are then served and the evening ends with a longer opportunity for each couple to discuss and share. Finish is normally by 10pm. Content There are 7 sessions with these headings: Building strong foundations /The art of communication / Resolving conflict The power of forgiveness / Parents and in-laws / Good sex / Love in action Dates and Cost Courses are running in homes across the area. We suggest that if you are interested, you telephone the Secretary to find out when the next course in your area is due to start. The cost is usually £70 per couple and there is a bursary fund to help in cases of genuine hardship. If a suitable course is agreed, your place will be reserved and you will be told the Course Code. Only then is it appropriate to complete and post the Registration Form.
