Sharkfin Soup - The Band
 Sharkfin Soup was formed only a couple of years ago and is already gaining a reputation for always providing a great time at any event across the south. They have played the music for: wedding anniversaries, from 25th to 50th; birthdays from 18th to 50th; school and church fund-raising occasions; a gala ball; and the centenary dinner and dance for The Haslemere Players at Cowdray Park Golf Club, Midhurst. The band was formed by bringing together three professional musicians, Mike Robinson, guitarist and lead vocalist, Jim Barr, bass guitar and Jim Honeywood, drummer and vocalist and three musicians from St Stephen's church, Hadley Bennet, guitar and vocal, Marion Gready, keyboard and vocals and David Laver on alto saxophone, all of whom were interested in creating an exciting and sophisticated sound. The band has a large repertoire of songs that cover everything from 'boom-chick-a-boom' style, rockabilly era Elvis right through to contemporary material of Robbie Williams, Ronan Keating and Blondie. They also acknowledge the influence of the Blues Brothers, the classics of the Beatles and Stones and of course, Abba. Songs not only great to sing along to, but also great for dancing.
