Woolmer Hill Secondary School

We have been working in schools in the local area for quite some time now. However this year we have been mainly concentrating on Woolmer Hill. Not because it’s the only school we like but lack of man power is limiting us,
so better to do one school well rather than stretch to all schools and not honour God with professionalism. At Woolmer Hill we are involved in the following activities:

Assemblies,

R.E. lessons

Confirmation lessons

Relationship and Self-esteem classes

Detached work.

Please continue to pray for us that God will bless the work we are doing and young people will come to know him through our efforts.

PRAYER FOR SCHOOLS

Prayer for Schools is a network of prayer groups that was born out of one woman’s desire in Australia to pray for her two sons. Out of this there grew within her a longing for children everywhere to know the love of Christ. When her boys were in primary school, Ann Harding met another mother who shared her concerns and for 2 years they met almost every week.
In the early high school years, her desire to intercede for young people intensified, and God brought along other mothers who felt the same. They started meeting together consistently and the group grew in unity and purpose.
As they shared with friends the benefits of meeting, other groups started springing up - firstly in schools nearby and then further afield. Representatives of these groups began meeting together once a term for mutual encouragement and sharing.

GOD WAS GIVING THEM A VISION FOR THE NATION! A NETWORK OF SCHOOL PRAYER GROUPS, SPANNING AUSTRALIA , COVERING A WHOLE GENERATION OF CHILDREN WITH PRAYER.

A similar desire was given to a woman in Guildford . At the same time, her aunt in Australia sent her the Prayer for Schools booklet - Jill Sharpe now shares Ann Harding’s vision for Britain

THAT EVERY SCHOOL WILL BE COVERED BY A PRAYER GROUP.

PRAYER FOR SCHOOLS IN HINDHEAD – WILL YOU TAKE PART?

Pat and Gill Carron, who attended the same church in Guildford as Jill Sharpe, passed the booklet on to Jane Rocke at St Stephen’s. As a direct result, a prayer group was started at Amesbury School in Hindhead. The initiative is spreading rapidly to include many schools and nursery schools in the Hindhead and Haslemere areas.
