Holiday Club 2007 Waste Watchers

 
The church became a bustling recycling Centre last month as we welcomed 70 children to the ‘Wastewatchers’ Holiday Club. The theme was ‘Transformation’ and we looked together at several examples of the transforming power of God in the lives of ordinary people in the Bible. Heather Collyer from ‘Surrey Waste Management’ joined us to explain how we can make a difference to our environment by following some simple rules; conserving energy, recycling and using a ‘Bag for Life’ whilst shopping. The children enjoyed fantastic games, music and crafts whilst parents were treated to delicious homemade cakes at our very own ‘Paradise Café’. We were incredibly blessed with good weather (a rarity this summer!) and it was a joy to have such a large team of committed and energetic leaders.
