Funerals and Memorials
We are involved in taking funeral services both in church and at the
Guildford Crematorium. We tend to become involved after being contacted
by the funeral directors. Having taken the service, we do try and keep
in touch with the family and help them through this difficult time. A
memorial service can be organised after the funeral if this is
appropriate.
One thing we encourage people to do
is to think about their funeral service before the need arises. This
may seem rather strange, but it does help the remaining family during a
difficult time. What we invite people to do is to think about the type
of service they may want, the hymns they would like to have sung and
the sort of prayers that will be said. This information is written down
and then given either to the Vicar or to another member of the family
for safe keeping. We do encourage you to think about this.
